{"id":4566,"date":"2017-01-03T14:12:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-03T14:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/?p=4566"},"modified":"2026-07-09T21:58:27","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T21:58:27","slug":"participamos-en-el-fiis-2016-con-el-arte-que-hay-en-mi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.dementes.org.pe\/en\/2017\/01\/03\/participamos-en-el-fiis-2016-con-el-arte-que-hay-en-mi\/","title":{"rendered":"We took part in Fiis 2016 with \"The Art Within Me\"!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">In December, we participated in the panel \u201cDifferent abilities, same opportunities\u201d at the <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong><a style=\"color: #2289a3\" href=\"http:\/\/fiis.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2016 International Festival of Social Innovation (Fiis)<\/a>, sharing our experience<\/strong> <strong>with the project \u201cThe Art Within Me\u201d<\/strong><\/span>, a stigma-free space where talent and mental health are the main focus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">We created this <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">art and social inclusion project<\/span><\/strong> during 2016, <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">in collaboration with the Ayllu corporate volunteering program from Backus<\/span><\/strong>. The objective of this initiative is to promote empowerment and strengthen the social skills of people living with mental health conditions through the creation of spaces for art and creativity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">During 2016, in partnership with the Hermilio Valdiz\u00e1n Hospital and a civil association dedicated to mental health, we had <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">32 participating artists<\/span><\/strong> in the project. They created <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">more than 100 artworks<\/span><\/strong> using painting on canvas and woodcut techniques. Likewise, we were able to involve <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>more than 60 volunteers<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>from Backus and De-mentes<\/strong><\/span> in the project, promoting our message of equality and social inclusion among them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This 2017, we will continue developing this wonderful project.
